Nia graduated from the University of Plymouth with a BA Hons in Design: Photography. Before university she taught swimming to children and adults, which inspired her to take a gap year to work as a counsellor at Sugar Bay Summer Camp in Zinkwazi, South Africa.

“I have always been passionate about helping children of all abilities achieve their educational potential. It is extremely rewarding to see our Explore Learning members reach their personal goals and develop a real enthusiasm for learning.”

Arnelie graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Education. Her passion for working with children fuelled both her choice of course and of work experiences. Prior to her degree studies she spent time as a Classroom Assistant in a Nursery for children with Special Educational Needs. She also volunteered at a local youth club for two years. In 2007 Arnelie travelled to Tanzania where she had the opportunity to teach at a local school.
 

“I believe that every child has the potential to excel educationally in their own unique way, and working for Explore Learning gives me the opportunity to enthuse and inspire every child I meet. Maths and English are fundamental life skills and the key to mastering these is confidence. At Explore Learning I aim to nourish each individual child’s potential, to build their confidence and self belief, enabling them to follow their own educational pathway.”

 

Emily graduated from Cardiff University in 2009 with a 2:1 in English Literature. She joined Explore Learning as a Manager after previously working as a tutor in the Bradley Stoke centre. Aside from Explore Learning, Emily has gained experience working with children through volunteering in local schools and participating in a literacy mentoring scheme whilst studying in Cardiff. Emily is a keen sportswoman and enjoys running, with her ultimate goal to run the marathon for a children’s charity.
